Director & Liaison

Dr. Salman Avestimehr, the Director of the USC Amazon AI Center, is a distinguished leader in artificial intelligence research, known for his expertise in information theory and privacy-preserving technologies. With a visionary approach, he drives the center's mission to tackle complex AI challenges and push the boundaries of innovation. Dr. Daniel Marcu, the Center Liaison for Amazon, brings extensive experience in natural language processing and AI research, playing a crucial role in fostering collaboration between USC and Amazon. Together, Dr. Avestimehr and Dr. Marcu guide the center's efforts to advance AI research, nurture future leaders, and develop impactful solutions for the industry.

Previous Liaison & Manager

Manoj Sindhwani, the Previous Liaison & Manager for Amazon, brought extensive experience in natural language processing and AI research, playing a crucial role in fostering collaboration between USC and Amazon. His leadership was instrumental in advancing the center's AI research efforts and developing impactful solutions for the industry. Ariana Perez, the Center’s Administrative Program Manager, handles the administrative duties relating to the Center and serves as a point of contact for all related activities.
