Biography
Li Li is a second-year PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Southern California, supervised by Prof. Yue Zhao. His research develops machine learning algorithms that are trustworthy, privacy-preserving, and robust, with a focus on ensuring the reliability of AI systems in real-world deployment.
Research Interests
As AI systems such as large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs) are increasingly deployed in practice, ensuring their safety and reliability has become critical. My work addresses challenges arising from distribution shifts, adversarial threats, and the need to protect sensitive data. I aim to design methods that make modern AI both dependable and secure for real-world use.
What does being an Amazon ML Fellow mean to you?
Being selected as an Amazon Fellow is deeply meaningful to me. It represents recognition of my work, but more importantly, it encourages me to pursue research that bridges academic discovery with practical applications.
